We all love a ‘pop-up’ these days, it’s the buzz phrase du jour, and when that ‘pop-up’ involves the words ‘curry’ and the best ‘locally sourced ingredients’ then this is a concept that is going to be very exciting, read on…..
Mymonkfish is proud to be partnering with Earthy Foods, Edinburgh, to present the ‘ Pop-Up Coconut Curry Club’ at Ratcliffe Terrace on Thursday 10th November at 7.30pm. Earthy Foods have just been crowned ‘Best Independent’ in Scotland by the Observer Food Monthly Awards 2011, a worthy accolade for such a passionate and knowledgeable retailer. This passion is plain to see in-store at both the Ratcliffe and Portobello stores and is now going to extend into some very exciting events of which the ‘Pop-Up Coconut Curry Club’ is the first. The Curry Club will be popping up at the Earthy Market Cafe, Ratcliffe Terrace, hit-listed by The List for two years running. Continue reading

This morning mymonkfish went to spy on the new Earthy Foods in Portobello, a sister store from Dirk and his ‘Earthling’ crew at Ratcliffe Terrace. Freshly opened (just yesterday!) the store has a huge amount of space and is bursting with fresh produce, artisan bread (delivered daily), organic eggs and cheese, meat, and other locally sourced delights.
